Magda (Stanton 1c)

Magda is the third-closest moon to [Hurston (Stanton I)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Qlx4dQnxL-hurston-stanton-i). Although its temperature falls into ranges friendly to life, its nitrogen-methane atmosphere cannot be safely breathed. Enormous areas of blue-green dirt on Magda's surface are said to resemble oceans when the moon is viewed from orbit. The moon is named after former [Hurston Dynamics](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RxNxAZpWlQ-hurston-dynamics) CEO [Magda Hurston](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V7gMKmw6wa-magda-hurston), who recommended that the company purchase Stanton I from the [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth) in 2865.
