Caliban 2a is the sole moon of [Crion (Caliban II)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bEzvPwYZ96-crion-caliban-ii), located in the [Caliban system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0jGyPQ1r5m-caliban-system) in [Vanduul territory](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RPDAMLKP74-vanduul-territory). Its yellowish surface is covered in unusual craters which were the subject of a long-term study to determine their origin before the [Vanduul](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpGPp92gdO-vanduul) overtook the Caliban system [in SEY 2884](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Gz5DNryvE-fall-of-caliban).
