The Ail'ka system is an inhabited planetary system within the [Xi'an Empire (SaoXy'an)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0n96JkwNo9-xian-empire). Reported by the Xi'an to have been discovered in MXY III.844 (SEY 2538), its existence was kept secret from the [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth) during the [Xi'an-Human Cold War](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RXlLjDewkZ-xian-human-cold-war) (2530 - 2793), and only declassified in SEY 2793. [Humans](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans) were not allowed to enter the system until SEY 2915, upon special invitation from military spacecraft manufacturer [Aopoa](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvY5jyZwp-aopoa).
