Gliese System

The Gliese system is a planetary system in the [Banu Protectorate](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/Vgg795z2a3-banu-protectorate) that consists of a type-A main sequence star, three terrestrial planets, one smog planet, one gas giant, one protoplanet, an asteroid cluster, and two asteroid belts. A bustling hub of commerce and cultural exchange, its resource-rich planets and asteroid belts have made it a center of trade between the [Banu](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0NwpYPpNZ4-banu) and other civilizations. Most Banu in the system reside in the sprawling [Lyris flotilla](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bo1yaak7LL-lyris-flotilla/), located near the habitable planet [Nogo (Gliese IV)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/R4jEkkOAkW-nogo-gliese-iv). The Protectorate has allowed [Humans](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans) to set up a colony there, but no Banu live alongside them.
