Caliban 4d is the fourth moon from the gas giant [Caliban IV](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0GxavvKo2P-caliban-iv), [Caliban system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0jGyPQ1r5m-caliban-system), located in [Vanduul territory](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RPDAMLKP74-vanduul-territory). Composed of silicate rock, it has a water-ice crust with a very smooth surface that completely covers a moon-wide ocean of liquid salt water. The ice is laced with dark cracks thousands of kilometers long.
