Jarl (Virgil 3b)

Jarl (Virgil 3b) is the second moon from [Virgil III](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V8WagLl2Nx-virgil-iii), [Virgil system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RvlBgYrvEY-virgil-system), located in [Vanduul territory](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RPDAMLKP74-vanduul-territory). Instead of a water cycle, it has a methane cycle, fed by the vast fields of methane ice that coat its surface. Gaseous methane directly sublimates off the ice and creates clouds high in the atmosphere, where snow forms before falling back down onto Jarl.
