Vanguard System (VS-02)

The Vanguard system (designated VS-02 by the [United Empire of Earth](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth)(UEE)) is a [Vanduul](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpGPp92gdO-vanduul)-controlled planetary system that shares jump points with the [Leir](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Ql7xwzmzL-leir-system) and [Elysium](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RvlQrKZxPO-elysium-system) systems. Although no jump point connections to known Vanduul systems have been discovered, it is assumed that at least one must exist to facilitate easy travel between Vanguard and the rest of [Vanduul territory](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RPDAMLKP74-vanduul-territory). It is known to have three planets. In SEY 2943, the [Human](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans) explorer Christian Meyer entered Vanguard and observed a group of Vanduul living on the surface of Vanguard III. All other information on the system has been classified by the UEE military.
