Sol System

The Sol system is a planetary system in the [United Empire of Earth](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth) (UEE) that consists of a G-type main sequence star, one mesoplanet, three terrestrial planets, two gas giants, two ice giants, a dwarf planet, an asteroid belt, and many other celestial bodies. The original home system of [Humans](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans), it is the center of the UEE's government and is where the [Imperator](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Gz5BoJ9wl-uee-imperator) and the chambers of the [Senate](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VaZn8OqaNZ-senate) are located. Two of its planets are fully colonized, alongside multiple moons. The third planet from its sun, [Earth (Sol III)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/Rw1KpMJLZB-earth-sol-iii) is both the Human homeworld and the current capital of the UEE.
