Terra (Terra III)

Terra is the third planet from the sun of the [Terra system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VlMX7Mo9B4-terra-system). Naturally habitable, it was colonized shortly after its discovery in SEY 2516 and has since become the most populous planet in the [United Empire of Earth](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth) (UEE), as well as a center of culture and commerce. Terra's political leaders played [key roles](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bE3rKrl5z6-akari-kree-treaty) in the movement that ended the despotic rule of the [Messer Era](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V8gJ6ZwGqo-messer-era). Today, Terra remains a center of progressive politics, and is home to the [Transitionalist](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0OaylwDmvv-transitionalist-party) political party.
