Vega Belt Alpha

The Vega belt alpha is a dense asteroid belt that orbits the star of the [Vega system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0jGGODZ6O6-vega-system), [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth). Because of its location near the orbit of [Selene (Vega III)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0qaa69qqNA-selene-vega-iii), it is a popular location for aspiring miners to stake out their first claim and harvest resources. Permanent installations are less common, however, due to [Vanduul](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpGPp92gdO-vanduul) raids.
