Vega I

Vega I is a dwarf planet that orbits closely to the star of the [Vega system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0jGGODZ6O6-vega-system), [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth). Small and very hot with temperatures that often exceed 200 C, Vega I is inhospitable to known forms of life. Its silicate crust covers a solid iron core, making the planet very dense in spite of its small size. Evidence suggests that a lava ocean once fully covered Vega I.
