Although it is not habited and appears to be deserted, the [Xi'an](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/ReJwN9KJEj-xian) government forbids any spacecraft from landing on the planet's surface. Scans taken in the area have shown evidence of gunfire, suggesting that the Xi'an military might use K'ya.k'uing as a training ground or weapons testing area.
