Orion IV

Orion IV is a gas giant in the [Orion system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VlMpwMky6d-orion-system), nicknamed "Abyss" for its iconic deep black atmosphere. So little light reflects from Abyss that it is difficult to observe with the naked eye, save for a faint red glow that gives it the appearance of a lump of slightly glowing coal. Some tourists before the 2712 [Vanduul](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpGPp92gdO-vanduul)[invasion](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RMXyYxqw8K-battle-of-orion) visited the system solely to see Abyss in person.
