Orion II

Orion II is the second planet from the sun of the [Orion system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VlMpwMky6d-orion-system). A smog planet, it has a high-pressure atmosphere composed of carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid, giving the planet a yellow-brown appearance. There have so far been no recorded spacecraft landings on the planet's surface; however, scans have detected anomalies that may be structures. Scientific interest in Orion II was disrupted when the [system was lost](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RMXyYxqw8K-battle-of-orion) to the [Vanduul](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpGPp92gdO-vanduul) in 2712.
