Helios I

Helios I is a terrestrial rocky planet in the [Helios system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0KxpdzWBK4-helios-system), [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth). The closest planet to its sun, temperatures on Helios I are dangerously high. In 2937, the scientific survey station *OB Tarasque* crashed onto the planet's surface. Its lack of adequate shielding put all the survivors in danger of dying by heat exposure. As quickly as possible, members of a local garrison modified their fighters to withstand the extreme conditions and were able to rescue six survivors before it was too late.
