University of Persei

The University of Persei is the oldest continually operating institute of higher education in the [Rhetor](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0ODlqMJXmP-rhetor-system) system, [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth). It is a collegiate research university made up of several semi-independent colleges and research institutes, including the University of Persei Analytical Research and Quantification ([UPARQ](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0n1Mz2WmD7-uparq)) center. As a part of an agreement between the Earth (Sol III) government and the discoverers of the system, land on [Persei (Rhetor II)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0ODlqM6zKO-persei-rhetor-ii) was explicitly reserved for public education, and the University of Persei was soon established. The school is best known for its programs in space technology, [terraforming](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V3qgj8vjnj-terraforming), and psychology.
