Kallis Belt Beta

The Kallis belt beta is the second asteroid belt from the sun of the developing [Kallis system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Ql43d1nrv-kallis-system). Less dense than its sibling belt, it is primarily composed of dust grains and small asteroids that may be remnants from the formation of [Kallis IV](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/Rvlm3oZqg8-kallis-iv) and [Kallis V](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RkG1r6p4Lz-kallis-v). In 2931, a group of art smugglers from [Bremen](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/02kd45eyxe-bremen-system) attempted to conceal themselves in the dust of the beta belt before being apprehended by a [UEE Army](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RxnX5JOZ7Q-uee-army) patrol ship.
