Garron II

Garron II is the second planet from the sun of the [Garron system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0GxexoWn2P-garron-system), [United Empire of Earth](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth) (UEE). Originally a lush, biodiverse world populated by countless animal and plant species and a burgeoning civilization, it was subjected to [terraforming](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V3qgj8vjnj-terraforming) at the orders of [Linton Messer XI](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RwZBaD4Mdq-linton-messer-xi) and the majority of its life was destroyed, including its intelligent inhabitants. Footage of this event, known as the [Massacre of Garron II](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/01dWeqnMr1-massacre-of-garron-ii), was broadcast throughout the UEE, inspiring [an uprising](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bE3rKa32P7-anti-messer-revolution) that led to the fall of the Messer dynasty and the reorganization of the UEE government. The [Senate](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VaZn8OqaNZ-senate) passed the [Fair Chance Act](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RXlXmnaYGP-fair-chance-act) in SEY 2795 to ensure what happened to Garron II would not happen elsewhere and funded a long-term program to attempt to restore Garron II's original biosphere. This process remains ongoing.
