Kuā'li (Yā'mon I)

Kuā'li (Yā'mon I) is the first planet from the sun of the [Yā'mon system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VarxDJ5yLo-yaamon-system), [Xi'an Empire](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0n96JkwNo9-xian-empire). Tidally locked to its star, one of its sides is in permanent daylight, and the other in permanent night. During the [Xi'an-Human Cold War](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RXlLjDewkZ-xian-human-cold-war) (SEY 2530 - 2793), [Human](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans) military intelligence identified a facility located on the dark side of Kuā'li that saw frequent traffic and was under heavy guard. Reports suggested that it was a maximum security labor camp. In 2788, the facility was suddenly torn down and the planet left unguarded. The [Xi'an](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/ReJwN9KJEj-xian) Empire denies that they operated a labor camp on Kuā'li, but have not offered an alternate explanation of its purpose.
