Nine Tails

Nine Tails is a criminal organization based in the [Stanton](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RX3lKBA3dq-stanton-system) system. First active in SEY 2938, the gang established itself by leading an attack on a prisoner transport vehicle that left [28 Terra (Terra III)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RL6ZrMrLNa-terra-terra-iii) police officers dead and liberated Albert "Sinkhole" Holden, leader of the Terra-based Rangda syndicate. Investigators believed the group was allied with Rangda until Holden was found floating in space a day later, apparently having been executed. Over the next few years, Nine Tails would conduct unpredictable attacks in over a dozen systems that involved murders, robberies, and the destruction of personal and private property. In 2942, the incidents suddenly stopped. Authorities hoped that internal divisions might have destroyed the gang from the inside out, but in 2943, Nine Tails abruptly reappeared and took over [Grim HEX](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0jGGDvYm93-green-imperial-housing-exchange-grim-hex) in the Stanton system. Since then, they have opened a black market and have frequently clashed with [Crusader Security](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bmNrmYB8MP-crusader-security).
