Tethyeng (Hyoton I)

Tethyeng (Hyoton I) is the first planet from the sun of the [Hyoton system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RkGDYnpq4L-hyoton-system), [Xi'an Empire (SaoXy'an)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0n96JkwNo9-xian-empire). Given the name "fire world" by ancient [Xi'an](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/ReJwN9KJEj-xian) astronomers, the soil on Tethyeng's surface is deep rust in color, making the planet appear to be a red star when observed from the surface of the Xi'an homeworld, [RyiX'yan (Hyoton III)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bBz9mEDyqO-ryixyan-hyoton-iii). It is associated with joy and abundance in Xi'an myth, and was thought to aid in the quality of fermentation. Pictograms of Tethyeng, traditionally drawn as a nine-pointed star, are still used to decorate fermentation vessels.
