Kōri'lya

Kōri'lya is a major city on [Xi (R.il'a V)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RkGDJnlB2p-xi-rila-v), [Xi'an Empire (SaoXy'an)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0n96JkwNo9-xian-empire). Originally filled with barracks for soldiers and support staff that worked and trained on neighboring planet [Xōl'uu (R.il'a IV)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VYLzwxDrre-xooluu-rila-iv), the city was reclassified as a residential zone by the Xi'an government after the end of the [Xi'an-Human Cold War](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RXlLjDewkZ-xian-human-cold-war) (SEY 2530 - 2793 / MXY III.838 - III.1044). It was additionally opened to non-[Xi'an](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/ReJwN9KJEj-xian), and has become a center of cultural exchange where [Banu](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0NwpYPpNZ4-banu), [Human](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans), and [Tevarin](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V8gJv3nB3X-tevarin) intermingle with the Xi'an populace. Surrounded by dense tropical rainforests, it is lushly vegetated and stays warm throughout the year.
