Boro

Boro was a city on [Crion (Caliban II)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bEzvPwYZ96-crion-caliban-ii), [Caliban system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0jGyPQ1r5m-caliban-system), located in [Vanduul territory](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RPDAMLKP74-vanduul-territory). The capital of Crion, it was the home of the main chambers of the [Governors Council](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0rqzA55WZ3-uee-governors-council) and was the main population center of the planet. Particularly popular among long-haul traders and explorers, it was described in SEY 2599 by travel writer Shasta Wagner as having "a cosmopolitan appearance, but a strong frontier spirit." Political activism in Boro increased alongside [Vanduul raids](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/Rw1gdnOKBp-vanduul-raids) in the decades leading up to the [Fall of Caliban](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Gz5DNryvE-fall-of-caliban), as residents believed the [United Empire of Earth](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth)(UEE) government was intentionally withholding much-needed military aid. Boro was destroyed when the [Vanduul](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpGPp92gdO-vanduul) finally invaded en masse in 2884.
