Engineer Johann Alejandre founded Rest & Relax as a single rest stop in the [Baker system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/Rz2KGkv13N-baker-system) in 2901. The company initially operated by purchasing and adapting decommissioned stations near well-traveled lanes. As they expanded, they developed a standard pre-fabricated Rest & Relax station that could be easily shipped and assembled on site.
