Terrapin

The Terrapin is a deep-space armored scout ship developed by [Anvil Aerospace](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0qnN6Od6YD-anvil-aerospace) for the [United Empire of Earth](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth) (UEE) Navy. Outfitted with sensitive scanners, it is used for long duration reconnaissance and leg patrol missions where crew members might need to be separated from support facilities for weeks at a time. The spacecraft is encased with heavy armor that allows it to survive skirmishes with lighter raiding craft. The Terrapin was the first military contract awarded to Anvil Aerospace.
