The Xi'an Language (uo'aXy'an) is a group of languages spoken by the [Xi'an](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/ReJwN9KJEj-xian). It refers to the standard dialect, the military dialect, and countless other dialects dispersed throughout the [Xi'an Empire](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0n96JkwNo9-xian-empire). Most Xi'an dialects are mutually intelligible due to the re-organization of Xi'an culture after the end of the [Great Divide](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvYA5qmqX-the-great-divide) (20044 - 19770 BCE) and the requirement for all Xi'an to spend 30 years in the [Xi'an Service (Pō't.ōngp.ū)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0dQJ96mOeZ-xian-service). The same standardized writing system is used across all Xi'an dialects.
