Third Imperial Age

The Third [Imperial](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VYLyPxQnpp-emperor-taunuasao-taoyusao) Age, ruled by [House Kr.ē](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/R6v8OZOrP5-house-kree), is the [Xi'an Empire's (SaoXy'an)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0n96JkwNo9-xian-empire) current dynasty. It began in II.1824 (SEY 1457) with the selection of U.e'o se Kr.ē as the new Emperor, roughly a century after the Kr'thak's assassination of [House Xy.ō](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RXlXBrm5o1-house-xyo). During this era, the Xi'an formally ended hostilities with the [Kr'thak](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RxNxDYkqzz-krthak), made first contact with [Banu](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0NwpYPpNZ4-banu), [Vanduul](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpGPp92gdO-vanduul), and [Humans](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans), and established diplomatic relationships and opened channels of trade with Banu and Humans. The current Emperor, [T.uēng se Kr.ē](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VaZwmlmPQo-emperor-kree), was one of the signatories of the [Akari-Kr.ē Treaty](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bE3rKrl5z6-akari-kree-treaty) (III.1040 / SEY 2789), the first nonaggression pact between Humans and Xi'an, an instrumental step in the eventual end of the [Xi'an-Human Cold War](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RXlLjDewkZ-xian-human-cold-war) (III.838 - III.1044 / SEY 2530 - 2793).
